On a leisure trip for a week, Kaminarimon Ryokan was a gem. the staff in beautiful kimonos welcomed us warmly. the location was perfect, steps away from Nakamise markets and close to the iconic Skytree. Our Japanese style room with a view of Senso-ji temple and the Skytree was impeccable. the staff catered to our vegetarian breakfast needs graciously, and the cleanliness was exceptional. the spacious rooms and modern amenities, including a laundry machine, added great comfort to our stay.

Strongly recommend this hotel.

Clean hotel in a really good building just next door to many stores and restaurants, the tourist attraction and Train station and Asakusa Station. Very attractive design of interiors in triple room. Down pillows, comfortable bed. The location unbeatable and comfortable next to Senso-ji temple. Again, not far from a historic temple...

Got disability access room with private bath, good bathroom, as example as expected. An electric kettle, refrigerators, and glassware were available too.

This small and tranquil place was the perfect way to wrap up my trip thanks to the friendly staff and interesting books in the lobby.

We were in Tokyo for 1 day, had comfortable stay, the hotel was clean with marvellous and fantastic location on how to get there once dropped off by taxi. Everything was simply great.

Everyone who worked there was accommodating. Loved a sitting area, a work desk, and an electric kettle in the room. All the necessary was there, including bathroom with a bidet.

Didn't like the area, it was quite busy.

The location of this hotel is great! It's right on the tourist/shrine strip. It's also very close to the Asakusa train station.

The room was very very small. (But I hear its hard to find spacious hotel rooms in Tokyo). We booked a room with a private bathroom. The shower/bath area had black mould growing in the corners. The building is very old...so I guess this can happen with age. I can see the rooms have been cleaned - however all the fixtures, fittings were very very old and dated. Also, the room was very drafty, even with the curtains closed at night. Being there in December, and also travelling with a baby..this wasn't ideal.

I truly enjoyed this hotel, it's clean and straightforward. The location turned out to be good and stunning, just next door to the tourist attraction, and the most lively traditional downtown locations.

The staff can speak English a little bit,but they are very helpfully you anyway.

As backpackers, we loved the spacious rooms with breathtaking views, the laundry facilities for convenience, and the delicious, fresh breakfast. Friendly staff made our stay memorable!

I am asthmatic. My room stank of stale cigarette. I could not change room and was up most of the night wheezing. I was informed all rooms are smoking optional.
